I don't see a problem with what the Yankees are doing because it creates opportunities elsewhere. Eventually these players are going to block MLB ready prospects and smart teams will be able to get those players for cheap. I have never been an advocate of a salary cap in baseball. I love how in a very poor economy where people are really struggling, the Yankees find a way to hand out not one, but two $160 million dollar contracts.
