I've been pissed at MLB all season for blacking out games abroad and making it so that I couldn't watch Dodger games live here in Japan. As today's game started, though, I couldn't get my slingbox to work, so I quickly rushed over to mlb.com in hopes that the blackout policy wouldn't be in place during the playoffs. I discovered that the playoffs are available live for international viewers... YES! I paid $20 for the playoff package and will watch the rest of the games this way -- crystal-clear HD, no commercials.

I still wish I had applied for that job with MLB Advanced Media last year.

I thought for sure the iPhone app would become useless in the playoffs, but you can watch one of eight camera angles. Not a great way to watch a game, but better than nothing if you are in a place without TV. MLB is great at making their games available.
