    Twins vs Tigers

What a great game this is.

Tigers were up 4-1, Twins battle back to tie it up.

Tigers have 1st and 3rd no outs in the the 9th, and can not push a run across.

In the 10th Tigers have a runner on first when they get a double off the wall to take a 5-4 lead.

In the bottom of the 10th Minny gets a leadoff triple by Cuddyer on a questionable decision by the left fielder who laid out for a ball he shouldnt have. Next batter gets out, they then get a walk, and a single to tie the game. The runner on first went to third. So you have 1st and 3rd with 1 out.

Nick Punto hits a linedrive to left, the runner on third tags up and the left fielder redeems himself by hosing Casillas at the plate to send it to the 11th.

    Unbelievable game so far.

Yep. This is one of the many reasons I love baseball. Heckuva game.

Whoever wins this derby will have to fly to New York at midnight, then scrap together someone to pitch against C.C. Sabathia at 6 pm eastern, less than 21 hours from now.

FWIW two years ago the Rockies had a tiebreaker game go 13 innings, then they went on to sweep the NLDS and NLCS 7-0.

Wow, what an incredible game, there is nothing like do or die baseball.

I don't know if its fair to measure the Twins against the 2007 Rockies. It is hard for any team to measure up to that level of greatness.

              Agreed.

I can go to any game in person at the ballpark, but I can't sit down for 4 hours and watch a meangingless game on the tube.....but playoff baseball.....do or die baseball is full of some of the best drama in sports anywhere.

I watched via Slingbox this morning, then had to leave after the 10th to get to work. It was a great game up to that point. Looks like the ending was fantastic, too.
