I'm looking forward to the Flames/Blackhawks game tomorrow night.

It should be pretty good. I hope I'm able to catch some of it.

The Leafs and their desired "toughness" is just undisciplined play, and the goaltending is AHL-quality. Montreal gives up way too many shots, and Carey Price's run to take the Habs to the #1 seed in the East two seasons ago seems like a distant memory.

The season has been great so far.
I think it would be good for the NHL for the Leafs to be strong again. Toronto is pretty much the hockey capital of the world and they haven't had championship teams in 40 years.

I've never been a big fan of the leafs, but it would be nice to see them do something.

Well that is disappointing. I turn on the game and the Flame just score to go up 5-0 in the middle of the first period. I had no justification to not let the kids watch Phineas and Ferb. Oh well.

It looks like Chicago has since come back and scored a couple, so I'll have to turn in on when the kids go to bed.

Following an opening night loss, the Rangers are showing why they are the class of the NHL. What a start!

            Now that is a comeback.

I don't care that he is 47, I don't care that he probably isn't worth whatever you sign him for, but the Chicago Blackhawks have to sign Chris Chelios. We need to bring him back from evil.

I wonder if this will be anything more than a token gesture like was given to Theo Fleury by the Flames. Probably not, considering he actually played hockey last year, but who knows.

Rangers win again, best team in hockey. Let's start the playoffs already.

The Leafs are terrible, but the Rangers are playing great hockey. Tortorella is a great coach for that team.

Not exactly NHL, but these jerseys are insane:

These were worn in honor on Don Cherry's Military Appreciation night for the Kingston Frontenacs of the Ontario Hockey League.

Your image didn't show up, but I looked them up and they are horrible.

I've never been a fan of Don Cherry's fashion though.

Thanks for fixing that for me.

Don Cherry is a character, and the NHL would be wise to expand his appeal to America viewers, but his xenophobia about European players is a major flaw.

Not to prematurely start a playoff watch, but the Colorado Avalanche and Los Angeles Kings lead their respective divisions 15% into the season.

Also, the Phoenix Coyotes, who had a sketchy future most of this offseason, are playing good hockey under Dave Tippett, and shut out my beloved Blues last night behind the stellar play of Ilya Bryzgalov.

I watched the Flames/Avalanche game the other night. Colorado looks pretty good. Calgary got a lot of shots on goal but not very many good chances.

That Ryan Smyth trade (where the Avs got Quincey and Preissing) is paying off for the Avs. And I know Craig Anderson played well for the Panthers last year, but he's lights-out so far.

                                Anderson is on fire.
