I left John Crotty v2.0 off the list because he was actually pretty good in his second incarnation in a Jazz uni. He was playing pretty efficiently as the backup to Stock, but blew out his knee with a couple months left in the season. We finished the season Rusty LaRue as the main backup PG, and that ended up costing the Jazz the 7 seed by a game. Then, instead of the Kings, they would have played the Spurs, who they probably would have beaten. (Here fishy fishy . . .)Prepare to put mustard on those words, for you will soon be consuming them, along with this slice of humble pie that comes direct from the oven of shame set at gas mark “egg on your face”! -- Moss
There's three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who's got the same first name as a city; and never go near a lady's got a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, everything else is cream cheese. --Coach Finstock

A couple questions on Jefferson's up-and-under move. Did he have that move prior to going to the Timberwolves, or is that all Kevin McHale?
Its a great move and apparently, it can't really be defended--especially if you have the baby-hook or one-handed push that Jefferson also has. Why do so few NBA players use it?

He used it some with Boston, but McHale took it to another world. I am not a big B-Ball fan, but I like watching Jefferson's footwork in the paint. Gasol is pretty good too. Outside of those two, it seems to be a forgotten skill in the NBA.Originally posted by Jacob View PostA couple questions on Jefferson's up-and-under move. You've gotta give Boozer credit for great footwork. He didn't have the up and under that Jefferson has, but some great pivot moves. But I still hate his guts.Originally posted by Jarid in Cedar View PostHe used it some with Boston, but McHale took it to another world. I think the main reason is because so few NBA players have a counter move that makes the up-and-under effective. Jefferson couldn't pull it out if he didn't have that quick one handed push. He gets that off so quickly and goes to it so frequently that the defender shades him that way and bites on Al's fake that way.Originally posted by Jacob View PostA couple questions on Jefferson's up-and-under move. Yeah, Dunleavy should pick a house already. He'll be that "AK replacement" we've looking for.Originally posted by BGRTHNUMEGO View PostDestined to be signed as FAs well past their primes that will be suckalicious during their time in a Jazz uniform:
