Technically, but really means we just got the extra half combination for lottery odds, which obviously isn't huge. Then we slot ahead of the C's if neither team moves into the top 3 -- that's probably a bigger dealOriginally posted by smokymountainrain View PostSo they're sitting at 4th, right? So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

I think staying top 5 is key. I think besides the consensus top 3 (Embiid, Wiggins, Parker), I think Randle and Exum are the other 2 guys in this draft that teams could really fall in love with during workouts and subsequently explore the option of moving up in the draft to get one of them. And maybe Lindsey ends up preferring to use that #4 or #5 pick in a trade rather than adding another rookie.Originally posted by MarkGrace View PostTechnically, but really means we just got the extra half combination for lottery odds, which obviously isn't huge. Embiid's situation is bizarre. I don't think anybody really knows if he's healthy, yet he seems firmly entreched - if all the "experts" are to be believed - in the top three. Seems like teams have been burned enough by injured big men that that would be a huge red flag. On the other hand those guys also tend to be the ones who slip on draft day, so maybe that will happen.
If he is completely healthy and it can be proven as far as that is possible, he's my #1 by a fairly healthy margin.I'm like LeBron James.

Mos def. And I think winning this flip improves our chance of that a lot more than it improves our chances of getting in the top 3 (which really didn't change much at all). There's probably a decent chance one team slotted behind us jumps into the top 3, but I think two seems pretty unlikely.Originally posted by BGRTHNUMEGO View PostI think staying top 5 is key. Was listening to some of Lindsey's comments again. Don't know if it is sad or comical, but to hear him say that it is "premature" to decide how Favors and Kanter work together because we just haven't seen enough of it...maybe next year will be the magical year where that determination is finally made.
I thought it was interesting that Lindsey said he really likes players who can pass, and that he thinks Hayward is one of the top passing wings in the league.
