Kyle Orton is very comfortable in this offense. He's making good decisions and good throws. The only INT he threw was a Hail Mary. And the defense tightened up in the 2nd half, coming up with the stops when they need it.

Clearly they are doing lots of things right, but the clock management/play calling at the end of the second half was really strange. It looked like they were playing for the tie. What was that about?

They had two timeouts. Prater is really good from 50 yards away, so all they were basically looking for is one first down to get in his range.
It was interesting to see, though, considering their success through the air to that point.
The Pats pass rush made it a moot point, though. Orton had no time to throw.

I am a believer in Mike Nolan as defensive coordinator. However, I expect a little more offensive firepower from an "offensive guru" like McDaniels. The Broncos are winning in spite of him, it seems.

There's three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who's got the same first name as a city; and never go near a lady's got a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, everything else is cream cheese. --Coach Finstock

I am of the opinion that the only way you have offensive firepower in the NFL is if you have a really really good q.b. which Orton is not. He is doing a great job managing the offense but if you want firepower from the Bronco offense then somebody different needs to be behind center IMO.

I was hoping someone would point that out. I wonder where Denver could get a good, young, pro-bowl caliber QB?

I think Cutler is an ass and I personally think he is just as much to blame as McDaniels was in the whole situation. If he were still on the team though, based on the way they are playing they could be a favorite in the AFC to make a run. I didn't expect their D to be what they are.

The Sproles return upsets me, but I'm just glad the defense started playing better in the 2nd quarter. We couldn't stop a thing on those first two drives.
Royal is keeping us in the game. It would be nice to see a little more offense. Oh, and for our players to stay healthy.
