Apologies if this is a repost. Olmstead explains the mustache. I like this guy.

"Guitar groups are on their way out, Mr Epstein."
Upon rejecting the Beatles, Dick Rowe told Brian Epstein of the January 1, 1962 audition for Decca, which signed Brian Poole and the Tremeloes instead.

As I watched it live, I definitely thought it sounded like a touch. The ref under the net called the touch immediately, while the ref on the stand (who was actually right next to the play) did not call it. I think Texas' frustration came from the fact that they immediately looked to the stand and thought the other ref's call came late. In fact, the touch was called right away, they just weren't looking at the right ref.Originally posted by Green Monstah View PostLate in the fourth set there was a touch called that enraged the UT fans. Did they show a replay on tv? From my seat, it didn't look like it was touched.
FTR, on super-slow replay (i.e. my slow-mo replay of the ESPN slo-mo replay) I can see the Texas blocker's fingers get moved ever so slightly by the ball.Prepare to put mustard on those words, for you will soon be consuming them, along with this slice of humble pie that comes direct from the oven of shame set at gas mark “egg on your face”! -- Moss
There's three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who's got the same first name as a city; and never go near a lady's got a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, everything else is cream cheese. --Coach Finstock

Yep. She was the best player on the court last night, and that includes fellow first-team All Americans Ogbogu and Eckerman on the other side. She's already been drafted by a WNBA team. She's probably one of the better athletes to ever play at BYU.Originally posted by Surfah View PostHamson is a really special athlete. I took my 10 year old daughter (who is obsessed with volleyball) to the game last night. After she got over the embarassment of sitting next to a father who has no shame when it comes to being a loud and proud Cougar, she loved it (although she was proud of me in a few instance...#10 for UT (the lady with the big-time serve) tried to pump up the UT crowd when we went on streaks. Her appeals were met with immediate and voluminous "B-Y-U!" from me at a distance of less than 10 yards, which effectively denied her appeal!) . Our view was partially obstructed by the standing bench players, so I was worried she wasn't into it, but when we won, she jumped out of her chair with me and have me a couple high fives. Some of my best moments of 2014 have been at BYU sporting events (against Texas) with my kids right next to me. Almost makes me wish I lived in Provo.
I just bought tickets for the whole family tomorrow. Our seats are not terribly good, but we're at a good angle in the first balcony.Jesus wants me for a sunbeam.

First-team All-American in two sports. Sweet Sixteen in one sport, championship game in the other. You really need a qualifier?Originally posted by Joe Public View PostUnlike you and '71, I'm not old enough to remember all of the athletes who have ever played at BYU. Thus the qualifier."There is no creature more arrogant than a self-righteous libertarian on the web, am I right? Those folks are just intolerable."

I didn't follow women's sports that much, but just based on what she has done, I would be hard pressed to think there was even two or three women who were as good an athlete as she is in the history of BYU.Originally posted by Joe Public View PostUnlike you and '71, I'm not old enough to remember all of the athletes who have ever played at BYU.
