It is his "tournament stache." The girls on the team told him not to shave it so I guess they are going to enjoy the mustache ride for the next week or so.

My wife knows Olmstead's family a little bit.
She guarantees me that the coach knows how porny that stache looks.
Which makes him even awesomer.
Upon rejecting the Beatles, Dick Rowe told Brian Epstein of the January 1, 1962 audition for Decca, which signed Brian Poole and the Tremeloes instead.
That was fun. Paperback writer must be pretty ticked.
Missed this thread last week. For the record, I cheer for BYU in all sports including football. The only sport I'd favor Nebraska over BYU is football. Although I attended Nebraska as a Freshman, I'm a BYU alumni. My kids apply to (and attend) BYU; not Nebraska.

What are their chances of winning? I looked at the seeding and it looks like BYU came through their bracket basically as an 11 seed.
Would be so awesome to put another natty in the Hall of Champions.
They were essentially a 6 seed with Seton Hall the 11. BYU was #17 on the rpi and Seton Hall was in the 40s. So judging on that, BYU just missed on being one of the seeded teams.
Just realized this is in my neck of the woods. I'm taking my daughter to cheer on the Cougs!
Sounds fun. My 4 year old daughter is probably still a little young for fully enjoying going to games, but I've done it a few times already for a few different sports and she seems to enjoy it in her way at least. She got to meet some of the womens soccer players when they came to play SMU and she really liked that. The players were super nice and really made her feel like they were glad she went to see them play. I'd love to go, and OKC is only a couple of hours away, but still a little too far. If it were being played in Dallas I'd really try to be there.
Early on in this thread someone said Hamson is the star of this team. She is a gifted right-side and took them to the sweet 16 before she took a year off. She's gnarly. That said, Alexa is the WCC Player of the Year. She had the better year this season while Hamson found her legs and timing. I think it is a tough argument to say Jen is better this year than Alexa. Another argument is that the star of this team is the coach. Shawn sat down the starting setter in the second round of the NCAA tournament to put a more athletic outside hitter on the floor at setter. Basically, he took his #3 shooting guard and put her in at point guard for the biggest game of the year to match up better defensively and it worked. That brother sister team is amazing. I would be surprised if we don't make the sweet 16 again next year too.

It's great to hear.

I can only follow the play by play on line. How does it appear BYU matches up against the Horns?

I'm not a volleyball expert the Texas players can jump and look very athletic.
Yikes. Texas just got three points over BYU. following it via stats is more nerve-wracking than not being able to see it.
