I mean, they're homers, which is what should be expected. But when they were talking about the upcoming basketball season, they were practically guaranteeing that BYU would win 40% of their conference games in the B12 and be a bubble NCAA tournament team. Most people have us picked to finish dead last or very near to it. The blue in me says that we'll be better than last season and that we'll make a few upsets in conference play, but talk like that without something to back it up, just makes you look foolish, especially if you're supposed to be a professional. Everyone's entitled to their opinion, but convince me. That's what I want. I want analysis and discussion to convince me. They don't provide that. They provide blue kool-aid and I guess that's what they're paid to do.

You guys are being ridiculous. These guys are all great. Tune in to another team or conference feed and you will come to appreciate what we have.

I'm really glad that our football game this Saturday is not on BYUtv. I appreciate having a free channel that we can fall back onto if needed, but it's really hard to listen to those guys. You get what you pay for, I guess...Originally posted by SteelBlue View PostI’m proud of myself for toughing out Greg Wrubell’s 2,000 mentions of the attendance, BYU’s previous record against #1 ranked opponents and that BYU is in the Big 12.

Who's worse, Wrubell or the guys on BYU SN? Sometimes I watch SN because I want to get the news, but man, those guys never take the blue goggles off. Jason Shepard is the worst. If that's what you like, you do you. But, I like to have, or listen to, an intelligent discussion, and I just can't find it there.Originally posted by BigPiney View Post

Yes, it was a clearly dominant performance by the Cougars. UCLA had some good chances and missed, and we had other good chances and missed. UCLA's only goal came off a bad BYU midfield pass that they converted. We had some real midfield issues at times as UCLA was very aggressive. In the end, it is nice to have so many scoring options. Baily has some skills, and she's only a sophomore.Originally posted by BlueK View PostI think BYU will be portrayed by some nationally as kind of a sleeper after this, but they shouldn't. It was only two years ago that they played in the ncaa championship game. Last year started as a rebuild following having lost a lot of talent to graduation, but they've had some great recruiting classes in recent years and the team peaked at the right time last year. They got to the sweet 16 and the team that eliminated them was the #1 team in the country at the time, UNC, in a 3-2 game. UNC then went on to lose in the championship game to UCLA. So BYU, which returned all of its talent from last year was probably a little underrated at #13 to start the season. Also, UCLA.had most of its team back this year following their championship. This is a legit national contender.

This team is really good and deep. All 3 BYU goals scored by players who aren't starters.
