  • Heber Valley Century - Sept 26th

Call out to those wanting to boost your numbers for the RATT Challenge. Sept 26th is the Heber Valley Century.

I've heard it's beautiful, with the changing fall colors....
Can hit a century ride, and be done in time to attend the BYU vs. CSU game at 4pm.

I think I'm gonna do it. Anyone else up for this? Coach, BBB, Sass, JL, mtnbiker, bella? Anyone else?

        OK. I am interested.

But not quite ready to commit.

Same with me. I think I'll wait until next week sometime to pull the trigger.

At least a couple of Mme. PAC's cycling buddies are coming back for that, and if we could plan it over again, we'd come too. Instead, we're heading down to San Luis Obispo to ride the Lighthouse Century that same day.

Sounds like RATT riders are going to put up some serious numbers next week.

Sweet. Looks a bit more scenic...well, at least in a different way. Love the ocean, but will have to trade it for the mountains.

I would imagine you could make pretty good time as the Lighthouse should be mostly flat?

Hard to say. There are two routes, one hilly and the other flat, although both involve a fair amount of climbing (4700 vs 3500 per the website) as they head into the coast range for a good chunk. But returning along the Pacific Coast Highway, the last 40 miles are pretty flat and, may it please the cycling gods, the offshore breezes should be at our back.

I really like the Heber Valley, though, and would have enjoyed that ride. Maybe next year.
