We need a name for the trophy

As I was sitting at dinner Friday night wishing I had that trophy in my hands and hating mtnbiker for his good luck I thought that the trophy needed a name. It really is a thing of beauty and deserves a worthy name. Here are some ideas but I'm sure someone can think of something better.

    The Brake

    The Creekster Memorial Trophy

    The CUFFY

My initial vote would go to "The Cuffy".

You really need to post a high resolution pic of the trophy so that everyone on here can see just how coveted this piece of hardware really is.

Hmm... Good motivation for me to remain active I guess.

No, "CUFFY" is often used in conjunction with our annual awards.

Because it was for the TdF and everything sounds prestigious in french,

        Le Frein de CUF.

To tell you the truth....I'm a little partial (after this year) to calling it the "CUF Gumball Rally". Then...it doesn't change names if we select another site. But when the pre-ride call goes out...."pssst.....'Gumball" ....we all know what's going on.

A bit of a throwback to the old movie...but, the trophy would be a gumball machine.

I think we are confusing Two separate Trophies. Le Frein de CUF is for the Tour de France prediction winner (I received somewhat of a second from piney). That Trophy needs to stay as originally designed.

The Annual ride could be The Gumball Rally.

Ahhh...I see. Yes, yes...carry on. Forget the ramblings of the mad man on the side of the road.

Okay, you guys lost me faster than when Lebowski and mtnbiker started talking coding and programming languages the other night. Le Frein? Gumball Rally? What am I missing here. I'm still a little slow on the uptake since the acute hypoxic episode this past weekend.

                        Babelfish: Le Frein = brake

Wikipedia: The Gumball Rally is a 1976 film directed and co-written by Chuck Bail about a coast-to-coast road race. It was inspired by the actual Cannonball Baker Sea-To-Shining-Sea Memorial Trophy Dash run held by Brock Yates that inspired several other movies, such as Cannonball with David Carradine, also from 1976. While Cannonball is an action film, The Gumball Rally is both a comedy (like the later The Cannonball Run, starring Burt Reynolds, and its sequels) and a tribute to the supercars of the era.

The dia-compe trohpy was for the TdF prediciton contest. It was awarded at the dinner held during the Tahoe ride, but otherwsie has no realtiojnship to the tahoeride. The thread was about namign the dia-compe trophy. Le Frein means "the Brake" in French.

The issue of naming the tahoe ride was also raised, and gumball rally or some such was considered. That has nothing to do with the trophy.

Becasue I am such a complete wuss and didnt even show up to Tahoe, I can have no standing to make suggestions, but I will say this, the idea that there was much of a design process in putting the TdF trophy together may be going a little too far.
                          PLesa excuse the tpyos.

I think the "Cuffy" sounds great but not sure what the annual awards are?
