Testing 1, 2, 3. . .is thing on? Sorry, I am not much of a speechafier but when a fellow being is in need or "needy" who am I not to lend a hand. I would like to thank all the little people who made my second place possible this year. Uhh, what did I win? I think a nice golden plaque with the words "a silent river cycling deep" would be appropriate. ha ha. . .oh, wait, is that whining?!

I know this is not clever and funny but you can't have everything in a winner. Thanks creekster. . . it was fun and I look forward to having that trophy on my mantel. . .how big is it?

A worthy speech. I am reminded of Don Knotts in the Ghost and Mr. Chicken (look, it was HILARIOUS in 1968 at the cotton wood mall theatre matinee for bored and unruly children). But I digress. Well done. We will work on an award for you. If we come up with something suitable (trust me, I know exactly how suitable it should be), how can we get it to you? You may board mail if you are worried about your contest competitors learning where you are and slipping you a Mickey next July. Does anybody say that anymore?

Some may call my finish third place but I prefer to call it 2nd loser. At this point I am already going over the junior riders in Spain and Columbia and looking for that rider who may take that flyer on stage 18 next year and surprise everyone but yours truly because I will be prepared. I have hired a scout to attend every stage of the Giro next year and send me a daily evaluation of the sprinters. I plan on attending Paris-Nice next year to get a real feel for how everyone did through the winter. And lastly I will read every single tweeter from LA to follow him mental make up during the year. That Dia-Comp brake will be mine next year and I will not be deterred from my goal.

Your attitude is commendable, but, in the end, you are still not the winner, just like me, so calm down a little.

If you do go to Paris Nice I volunteer to be your soigneur. No, wait, that's not what I mean. That would not be good. Maybe a sommelier? Whatever, I just want to go see the race and have you pay for it.
