Noob question

I am considering getting a bike. I'm getting over the gayness of it (wearing spandex and heading off into remote locations with other sweaty guys in spandex for hours at a time), and I'm likely going to sign up for some triathlons. What would you recommend for a bike? One likely constraint is that I really want a Mesa Dual Rectifier amplifier or a Mesa Road King amplifier and if the bike price gets near the amp price, I'll likely go with the amp over the bike. You have been warned.

I don't know what price range you're talking, but there were a couple of threads a month ago about buying bikes. A lot depends on what your local bike shops carry, because you will want to do some test rides and see how they fit and feel. Check out some threads currently on page 3 for ideas of what to look for.

Great used deals right now. I'd suggest finding a bike you'd like, then spending a few weeks on ebay, etc., and find the same thing used.
