  • Tour de France contest? guess here

Well Le Tour begins again on Saturday. Anyone want to contest over it? I am not sure we have the critical mass to do this, and I am not sure I have the interest or time this year to do it properly (which implies I have done it properly in years past, which may not be true). So, here is what I think we can do:

First a few overall picks: pick yellow jersey and pick top French finisher.

Then we will pick a few stages as they come along. How about starting with stage one? Given that so many of us here are from, or live in, Utah, it seems like we need to start by picking stage one which begins in gorgeous Mont St, Michel and ends at historic Utah beach. And I have never seen the word Utah in any prior TdF itinerary that I recall. So pick your winner. If people care, we can do some more and then tee it up as we head to the mountains, etc.

    So, speak now!
    PLesa excuse the tpyos.

"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

I haven't followed the pro tour at all this season, but I would still like to do our annual contest. Thanks for spearheading it creek. I'll get my initial picks in by this afternoon.

Oh, and I am determined to finally rid my garage of the Cougarstadium TdF trophy. So somebody kick some serious booty in this contest so we have a definitive winner that I can pass it along to.

Thats pretty big talk for someone who "just saw the thread" and didnt post anything at all until AFTER the stage was completed. Get your overall in. This is not going to be a tightly run contest.

Cav is good but Kittel has looked so good and Cav has been on the track and not on the road. I was skeptical that he would be bale to be the Cav of old. But there it is.
