  • Bicycle log for those who need accountability

So as to avoid further cluttering of the Cycling Miscellany thread, I'll post my log here. My goal is to slowly build up miles from day to day and week to week to get myself in better shape and enjoy the fresh outdoor air.

Feel free to remind me of my goals if you don't see this thread pop up consistently.

    6.3 miles this morning.

Ok I'll switch to here as well. 20 miles. Did 17 with my wife and then did three miles around the First Flight Memorial. Very hot. I want a new bike.

    Beat Houston !!!!

Are you guys on strava? There are a bunch of CSers on there and it's very cyclist-friendly. I'm just barely reviving my strava feed so others could tell you more about it.
At least the Big Ten went after a big-time addition in Nebraska; the Pac-10 wanted a game so badly, it added Utah

Nope. I'm just lucky to be on a bike, much less on strava. How does it work?

Free gps cycling app on your phone. There's a paid version that I'm trying out this month for kicks, but I don't know if it's worth it. Lots of features that you may not be interested in yet, but for now, you can add friends and follow others' workouts (and post yours). Mapmyride and others do the same thing from that standpoint, so it may just depend on where your friends are. Most here seem to be on strava.

It also works with Garmin devices.

20 miles. 74 degrees makes for nice riding.

20 miles. Fastest point was 22 mph and that was a short time. 81 degrees so the weather was nice.

5.7 yesterday, 11.7 today. Was really dragging the last couple of miles today.

Beautiful evening for our TNR (Tuesday night ride). 35.7 miles at 21.5 mph with about 3 or 4 minutes of down time thrown in there. End of year and everyone was flying, it was fun.

20 miler. Same one I always do. 78 degrees and cloudy. Great for riding. Storm off the coast made for wind though. Also suppose to have 5-6 foot waves.
