  • 2014 Le Tour contest; anybody interested?

This is just to gauge interest. If you are interested in participating add to this thread and if there are a few of you I'll put something together. It will be along the lines of what I have done before, unless someone else has better ideas, which I am always open to. So what say you?
    PLesa excuse the tpyos.

      I'm interested.
"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

I'm not interested. Good luck to all of you, though!
Prepare to put mustard on those words, for you will soon be consuming them, along with this slice of humble pie that comes direct from the oven of shame set at gas mark “egg on your face”! -- Moss

There's three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who's got the same first name as a city; and never go near a lady's got a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, everything else is cream cheese. --Coach Finstock

I haven't seen much of the pro tour this year; tv coverage has been pathetic, but it'd be interesting to do a contest again. I had a hard drive die a while back, but might have those spreadsheets backed up that I did the contests with for a couple of years. I have them set to auto-calculate for me, instead of manually working up the numbers.

For having such little interest you sure seem to post a lot in this forum. You should just be honest with yourself and get on a bike and ride.

I'm interested. I think. You didn't explain the context, so I can't be sure. If it's about predicting a winner, I'm in.

I think we have enough people to put something together. The general idea is to pick a winner and there will be a few other categories, like a few stage winners, and maybe something like highest placed American, or some such.

Mtnbiker, do you want to run it? I am more than happy to let you do it. Or you can share your spreadsheets with me. Or not; I won't make it too complicated.

I'm in, if only to provide some good cheer to the many who will finish ahead of me. But where's the Creekster Trophy, including annual embellishments added by the winner? I can't remember if mtnbkr or bluegoose was the most recent winner, but I hope that impressive award is still around and wasn't mistakenly thrown into a fireplace on a cold winter's night.

I rode a bike just yesterday. It was stationary, though, and I only rode it because all of the elliptical machines were in use. After 3 mins, my legs were warmed up for squats and lunges. That's probably the longest I've ridden a bike since I had a paper route. But now I've gone and added something to this thread. Maybe I'm not very good at following instructions after all.

I'm interested. I haven't followed the pro tour much this season but I'll try to keep up.

FWIW, I haven't followed the pro tour until this year...
