I broke a spoke on my Mavic Ksyrium's yesterday and it sounded like someone threw a rock and hit my bike. These spokes are pretty beefy and have been great but the sound of it breaking scared the hell out of me. The last two times I've broken spokes have been on a Day After Saturday ride so maybe someone is trying to send me a message.

What happened? Pothole? Jumping a curb? Bunny hopping a fallen rider in front of you?
Your bike isn't too old, I believe. Please tell me its covered under warranty. -
No bunny hopping, no pothole just riding along. The guy that built my bike and fixed the wheel just said their is a lot of tension on these spokes. They probably had 4000 miles in them and I can live with one broken spoke in that amount of time.
