  • May 14 = Bike to Work day.

Just a friendly reminder that May 14 is national Bike to Work day. Get your bikes ready and plan to get to work on two wheels that day.

I iwll be manning the 'energizer' station at the Walnut Creek BART station for part of th emorning commute (the place the pass otu free stuff to person commuting on bike) so if you happen to come through there, stop and say hello. I have one of the early shifts.

On May 15 I look forward to all the commute reports.

I have been communitg to my office for years and would be happy to answer any questions anyone has along those lines.
    PLesa excuse the tpyos.

I did not get the lights. I want to, however, but I wont need them again until next winter, as the days are already long enough for daylight commuting. I ma glad you reminded me, however.

I saw someone with similar lights the other day. IIRC, the words "wicked" & "awesome" were used by one of my passengers.

happy to help. Please do let us know what you decide to program into the light display. The suspense is killing me.

was your passenger 10 years old or younger? That is how I feel when I react that way to them, but I do react that way and I like them.

Maybe I will prgram "CUF" and "Tahoe Ride" on each whel, respectively, and then ride around town on the night before the big tahoe ride.

Btw, rather than make fun of me for lights I havent' yet purchased, does anyone want to agree to ride their bike to work on May 14?
              PLesa excuse the tpyos.

well, Flash rides everyday, and I suppose I could ride mine from the garage to the kitchen, but then I'd hate to leave the tracks on the hardwood.

So the answer to my question was no, apparently.

I would, but I won't be working in the office that day. I do plan on riding in several times again this summer. If that's close enough to allow you to count me as a recruit, feel free.

Excellent. You are counted. Unlike certain OKlahoman librarians who pretend to fight crime but could instead be fighting carbon pollution.

says the chimp who drives the 4x4 extended-cab. You're just trying to get the rest of us to carry your load - that's what it is.

Hey, that is private info! RUles violation!

But I ride my bike 2-3 times a week, so my footprint is like a camry, which isnt so bad.

I think you just feel guilty for being so dismissive of such a worthy goal.

This would be a good goal for me to work towards. Commute to work is 18 miles (maybe a bit more on a bike).

I will ride that day. Isn't that actually part of bike to work week? I may try and do it every day. I'll have to see.
