They just announced routes for 2011. Apparently PAC is hosting the start of one stage in Livermore! Stage looks like it will go over some ground ploweed by some of our very own CUF peloton a couple years back. Should be fun.

That is a great route. I'm pretty excited about the Tahoe stage, although it is too bad that they have to ride the same stretch of road twice for a portion of it. But even with their traffic control and police escorts, the Spooner's grade portion on the NV side of the lake will be no more enjoyable for them than was our 2008 ride around that section of road. Thanks again, PAC.
The Seaside to Pasa Robles stage should be a great day of riding for them. I've never heard of Mt. Baldy. Any idea what it is like? They claim it will be toughest stage ATOC yet.

Great find, creek; thanks for that. I don't see the specifics of each route, but it looks like they'll go up the west side of the lake (Coach McG can blow them away up the Emerald Bay switchbacks to Inspiration Point). [whoops, I read the article and see they're doing the entire lake route 1.5 times, including Emerald Bay twice, so they'll cover everything and then some] As reported elsewhere, the missus and I did a portion (the hard part!) of the Squaw to Sacto route. Coincidentally, Mrs. PAC and her pals did half of the Livermore to Jose route this morning (I assume they'll go on Mines Road, but Calaveras works as well--we do both fairly often).
I may have block out some vacation time to witness this.Last edited by PaloAltoCougar; 10-07-2010, 12:54 PM.
