I stumbled across this blog about the Vuelta de Espana

This was from 4 years ago.

I'm not a huge cycling fan. I think it's cool, but I just don't follow it all that much.

Anyway, I came across this blog when looking for some info and pictures of Monachil.

Even though I'm not huge into the sport of cycling, I found this blog entry fascinating. Especially the end.

That was very cool. Thanks. Btw, I met the specialized angel in California and it is not the same woman. There must be a host of them.

This made me chuckle a bit. Poor Creek realizing it wasn't THE specialized angel, only A specialized Angel.

I thought the Vino part at the end was kind of cool with him just riding on home through the city. You'd think once they hit the finish line they'd want to get off of that bike asap.

The part about him riding home through Granada was the part that stuck out to me.

The entire thing fascinated me, but that part really stuck out. It's cool that that blogger could ride up next to him and congratulate him.

There are very few sports that allow access to the athletes like Professional cycling. Can you imagine running along the three point line with deron williams and shouting and clapping while you tell him to hit Milsap on the PnR? silly, I know, but in cycling you can get up close and personal with these guys before, during and after the races.
