PAC, you are inspiring. I've just started riding regularly and my friend and I went up Millcreek Canyon as part of a short morning ride yesterday. Good grief. At one point I was just trying to keep pace with this jogger across the street with me as I tried desperately to maintain enough speed to prevent my bike falling over.

The ride down the canyon was fun though. We were going about 40 and the only hiccup was when I nearly took out a crosswalk full of cub scouts heading over to one of the camps up there.

(On a tangential note: Look, I know they change the themes of those cub scout day camps every few years and I'm fine with that. Cowboy Village is Superhero Academy. Buccaneer's Cove is Galaxy Quest or something. But dude, one of the camps is now Camp Twilight. Are you kidding me? I lay the blame on the den mothers as I don't think a lot of cubs are reading Stephenie Meyer.)
Kids in general these days seem more socially retarded...

None of them date. They hang out. They text. They sit in the same car or room and don't say a word...they text. Then, they go home and whack off to internet porn.

I think that's the sad truth about why these kids are retards.

You can try riding with me sometime and you'll feel totally fast, since my top speed seems to be about 12 mph.

I'm almost always the slowest guy on the road when riding my mountain bike, but I don't mind. When I want to go fast I have other "bikes" available.
