The talent level could be even higher when you consider a few things:

I’m curious to see what kind of shape Knell is in. He is a guy who Kansas said they’d offer it didn’t serve a mission and who originally signed with Cal.

It is possible Blaze Nield, a walkon who turned down Montana State, UMBC, and mighty Idaho State to come, finds his way into the rotation. He’s been promised he will get a scholarship at some point. He’s got 3 years to play. He was 40 percent from beyond the arc

I don’t think we know what Kolby Lee can do, as he has been hampered by injuries.
Disagree here. Based on what we've seen, in my opinion, Lee's absolute ceiling is Jake Shoff production. Maybe this is another Stephen Rogers moment for me, but I don't see him as a valuable asset moving forward, especially with Harward and Howell transferring in.

Based on what I've seen of him at BYU and what I heard from those who follow high school basketball locally, I agree with GM.

I doubt that either Nield or Knell will play much at all next year barring injuries. I think it is safe to assume the following will start: TJ, Toolsen, Baxter, Childs. The other starter is likely to be Wade, Emery or Harding. The two who won't start will come off the bench with Seljaas and Nixon for the primary 9 players and then perhaps when BYU needs a bigger 5 without Yoeli Kolby Lee will get some minutes. In fact it might make sense to redshirt Knell if he is really that capable.

Pope had a strong group of current players, former players and future players out at a post camp pick-up game in the SFH. There were a lot of guys playing and a lot of games being played. It seemed to me that the team of Jake Toolsen, Seljaas, Nick, Gavin won the most on the top court. Mika beat up on Mady Sissoko. Kyle Collinsworth’s team competed with Dalton Nixon/Connor Harding for the worst team. I can probably remember specifics about some guys if you like. Kolby Lee, TJ and Wade sat out so nothing about them.

Too me a few minutes to figure out who Gavin was. I was thinking it was odd Gavin MacGregor was out there, but I know he has participated in those in the past. Then I thought, oh yeah, Baxter, duh.

Pope with the new hire of Bubes for technical director. Bubes are in!
"Guitar groups are on their way out, Mr Epstein."

Upon rejecting the Beatles, Dick Rowe told Brian Epstein of the January 1, 1962 audition for Decca, which signed Brian Poole and the Tremeloes instead.

I believe it is, but it doesn't matter.

                    • Apparently, there’s been a lot of concern.

I may be small, but I'm slow.

Spent last week in Nauvoo. It was pretty cool actually and now days they have an army of 3 month full time name tag wearing missionaries to sing and dance at various shows, in addition to the Pageants, lets just say that boobs have never been more in!

Between the two pageants, all the shows by the missionaries and the couple of historic sites that interest me I was able to be there for about 2.5 days without getting bored or having to listen to too many mind numbingly boring presentations on how rugs were made in the mid 1800's.

                            • I also think the Barcello for Emery trade was a good one. I have no visions of grandeur that Barcello is going to be as great as his HS hype would have once indicated, but I think he will be a solid point guard for BYU for two years. The change of scenery and year off should do him some good. Pope did well resurrecting Toolson's career here is to hoping he does likewise with Barcello. A starting 5 in 20-21 of Barcello, Harding, Caleb Lohner, Baxter and Harward should at least be interesting. Then give us Jesse Wade, Trevin Knell, Wyatt Lowell and Mady Sissoko off the bench.
