  • Good 1st half

I thought the team looked good in the 1st half. Playing their style, pushing the tempo. This might be the Rose's best team, a lot of guys that I trust with the ball. Not many bad decisions. I really like this team so far.

The correct answer to the what happens first BYU tourney win or Jazz win in San Antonio might be BYU tourney win. Maybe.

We all joke about the little brother stuff here between BYU and Utah, but Utah State fans have the biggest inferiority complex of them all.

Tai Wesley is way out of shape, he had his hands on his hips sucking wind hard core 4 minutes in to that game.

You have no idea. We went up to the game and had a fabulous time. But I am not sure which was more entertaining, the game or the watching the aggie fans. There were more of them and they were much more vocal. I wish I could remember all of the signs we saw. One of them was the old standby: "Honor Code = Satan's Plan". Another was a big sheet spraypainted with "BYU: Keeping ugly chicks out of Utah State since 1888". I was hoping some enterprising students on the BYU side would throw one together in response that read: "USU: Home of rejected BYU applicants since 1893." Or "USU: Keeping stupid people out of BYU since 1892".

But the funniest sight of the night was the T-shirt sported by hundreds of USU fans. It read:

"Win or lose, you still have to live in Provo"

Are you freakin' kidding me? Hometown smack from people who live in Logan? Hilarious.

It was especially sweet to see the looks on their faces after the game. They put their heart and soul into this game and it was close right down to the wire. Great time. I hope they do that again sometime.

They also had shirts that said Y B U. Maybe it was the same shirt, I'm not sure.

Yes, amazng display of little brotherism. Embarassing actually.

Their student section was more choreographed than a Chinese Olympic Synchronized Swimming Team. Kudos to them.

Rare bad game by Lee. His head was just not in it. His fifth foul was an incredibly stupid play. Evidence of where his head was pretty much the wholoe game. But his play has been so excellent this year, I guess it couldn't go like that forever.

I'm pretty impressed this team can gut out a win in a pretty difficult environment when our star player laid an egg and the rest of the team didn't really bring their A game. Great D also. First time I've seen them run the monster defense that I thought was executed well.

That was what impressed me most last night. Tremendous defensive effort and lots of help coming from the weak side or whatever it's called.

And I was curious what the deal was with Cummard; except for the first few minutes, he looked strangely out of sync. But it's nice BYU can win a fairly tough game without him.
