"They're good. They've always been good" - David Shaw.
Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.
Oh shit! Williams just said he hopes the series cancellation is not "the final solution" to this series.
Williams?

No. He was a PAC-10 player 20 yrs ago and likely did not know that Coach Crybaby had been compared to Hitler earlier in the day. It reminded me of the NY Giants owner who said this week when speaking about JPP " You play the hand you're dealt".
"Either evolution or intelligent design can account for the athlete, but neither can account for the sports fan." - Robert Brault

"We had fun w/ Utah's player-safety smoke screen this week, but "Cancelgate" was simply a calculated plan to break a contract/end a series. Utah preferred that the hoops series end on the hill, and had no intention of playing BYU in Provo next season - wouldn't commit to a date. Chris and Larry knew what they wanted to do, but chose to pin the plan on the "BYU Bad Boys" - ostensibly an easier sell than straight spite. What's done is done, and I don't sweat the split. Sure, rivalries can be good, but only if both sides are committed to their survival."
"It's devastating, because we lost to a team that's not even in the Pac-12. To lose to Utah State is horrible." - John White IV
It's his master plan to marginalize BYU, thus keeping all the 4 star in state recruits for himself. It's no secret that the demise of BYU sports would help Utah. BYU needs the non conference game more than Utah, although not by much.
So has Utah sold out any non conference home games this year? Do they have anyone on their home schedule next year or the year after that will guarantee a sellout?
We need the football game more than basketball. I'm disappointed, and Hill and Fake Coach K are pussies, but it's basketball.
Holmoe sounded desperate in the interview during the game, poor guy. In the last ten years, Utah has lucked into the best situation they could dream for, and our situation has gotten worse and worse, and there's really nothing he can do about it. Sucks for us.
