So I've come to the conclusion that the most used tactic to gain audience in the Utah local sports media is one of the following:
1.Talk about the Jazz
2. Find a way to piss off BYU fans because BYU fans will click on the article and the obsessed ute fans love it and will also pay attention.
What doesn't work:
Write something or talk about the utes. There aren't enough of them to move the needle and BYU fans just don't care. Take a census of utah fans who hang out on BYU sites and compare to BYU fans hanging out on ute sites if you don't believe that. Also, sas there ever been any local or national article in the history of man that doesn't attract a dozen angry comments from Utah fans? Have you ever seen a BYU fan comment on a ute story? Hardly ever.
