I got very excited about next year this morning. Still waiting word on Ennis, I think it could be favorable, plus maybe the best recruiting class Dana has signed. I am pretty sure Dana is an angel sent by the Lord to destroy the Utes and make me happy.

I'm against one of those 2 things that the Dana angel is been sent to do.

Brooks and Dorsey both withdraw from the NBA draft. Things are looking good next year for HFN.

I don't think most BYU fans cared much at all one way or the other, and now care even less, but those of here remain in awe of how much psychic energy Junkie has compelled you to expend on the issue.

I understand the desire to keep this alive, but I doubt you will find many here today that continue to think that Coach Rice is a better basketball coach thank Coach Kry (pussiness aside). If you need someone to concede, I will do it. You win Funk! Your coaching hire turned out to be a better choice even if he is a pussy.

I watched the first 10-15 minutes of KC's Portsmouth game last night on replay. He must have had five or six rebounds during that time. The game was somewhat ugly, which is to be expected, but he looked good IMO.

A former BYU assistant that BYU fans told Ute fans would be an amazing coach for our team, but that he was too good for our program and we could never hire him. Also, the coach that we had to hear during his flash in the pan first season (with Lon Kruger's recruits) that he was so much better than the guy we hired. Yep, just a random assistant.

For the record, I agree with Funk that coach Giac was always a terrible hire for the U. In my possibly simplistic reasoning, a coach that could barely go .500 in the Big Sky probably wasn't ready for a bigger job.

On the other hand, I never thought coach Kry wasn't a good hire as far as basketball goes. But I do think he deserves all the crap he's getting for ending one of the historically best college basketball rivalries in the country. And I had no idea if Rice was going to be a great HC or not. Hard to tell when hiring someone with no head coaching experience. He seemed to be a good assistant at BYU though.

I guess it is a B12 school but who would choose Lubbock over Las Vegas?

This has been all over the news for the last 24 hours. Beard was a Tech assistant for 10 years. He is divorced, and his three daughters live with his wife in Abilene, and Lubbock is a lot closer than Las Vegas.
