Corb has really come a long way since the beginning of the season. Love that we have him 3 more seasons. He would not have progressed as much as he has without all the playing time he received this year.

Do you also wonder whether we should insert Aytes in the lineup for the WCC tournament?Originally posted by TripletDaddy View PostI wonder what if we had nate Austin. just think how much larger the margin of victory would have been!

Wow! What a game.
CJ is a prophet. For once. But give him credit.
Haws does nothing but choke when it really counts. What a shame.
Halford is a stud. Very cool to see him peak like this. Dude is ugly as sin and looks like he has no business playing D1 ball, but he has a huge heart. I will always be a Dobby fan.
KC is awesome.
Very excited about the future for Kaufusi. His best game ever by far.
Great, great win.

I'm happy for the team getting that win. Even if somehow BYU ends up getting left out that's still an awesome, memorable win. They'll have that memory forever. Advance to the WCC Finals and I bet BYU is in.
Nice to ruin their Senior Night. Cocky of the Zags to plan it for after the game. I did not think this was the year that BYU would win in Spokane. Interesting the way Few tried to match BYU's small ball -- seems like it would have been better for them to keep a big lineup in.

BYU needs, I think, at least a first round win to get in.Now that I look at it again, I see Santa Clara and San Francisco in a 3-way tie for #6. Santa Clara has the best win (St. Mary's), so they'd be #6. San Francisco beat Pepperdine twice, netting them #7 and leaving #8 to Portland.Originally posted by Pelado View PostBYU is the 2. Not sure about the 7.
Edit: Looks like it's a play-in - #7 vs. #10. Going just by the standings on the WCC site, that would be Santa Clara vs. Loyola Marymount. Both of them are tied - Santa Clara is tied with San Francisco for #7; Loyola with Pacific for #9.
So it would be #7 San Francisco vs. #10 Pacific in the play-in game.
If we win, semifinal match-up would be the winner of #3 St. Mary's and #6 Santa Clara.
Of course, I could be doing the tiebreaker completely wrong, so don't be surprised to see major differences between this and the official brackets.
Edit: BYU beat Pacific by double digits both games, but after handling San Francisco by 31 on the road, held them off by 4 in Provo.

Happy for Andrus, who got reamed by Rose and the rest of the bench coaches for a defensive lapse in the first half, not to mention two missed FTs. Then he comes through twice at the end. Good for him.

Thus BYU's opponent would be the winner of Santa Clara vs. Loyola Marymount, which will be broadcast on BYUtv on Friday, March 6th at about 9 pm MT.
BYU's quarterfinal game with the winner would be Saturday at 9 pm MT on ESPN2.
Edit: BYU won all four of the regular season matchups with those two teams by double digits.

Cheeeeeeeeeeeeeehooooooooooooo!
BYU beat #3 on the road. They never trailed. They just outhustled, outworked and outplayed Gonzaga. These last 6 games have been something. Keep rolling boys. Gotta take care of business in Vegas. Glad we get to avoid USD. Get to the final and we should be dancing.

Yes, Kaufusi was another one I got down on like Halford. I think I will now get down on Haws so he can score 50 next game.Originally posted by PaloAltoCougar View PostI'm still marveling at BYU's intensity the past three halves of B-Ball. Really impressive, as is Kaufusi's learning curve.
Worthington giving 5 valuable fouls again.

Glad it is over. Kept pleading with them not to lose it in the end. Sweet
