The defense wasn't great, but when you play a game at a tempo where you put up 121 points, the other team is going to get theirs. They mentioned during the game that the Maui Classic all-time scoring record was set by Loyola Marymount back in 1990 when they beat Chaminade 162-120. 40 point win, but the loser scored 120 - that is going to happen in a fast game. Also, BYU played the end of the bench for about the last 8 minutes of the game.

The game was over 7 minutes into the first half. Kaufusi played hard until the end, but it seemed most others were happy to play loose D in order to trade baskets and not let the score get too out of hand.

I don't care if you are playing the Provo 17th ward elder's quorum, shooting threes like we did in the first half was unbelievable. What a fun game and a nice way to get away from last night's heartbreaker.

I loved the way Winder kept pushing the ball up the floor in the second half. Outstanding energy.
Neilson needs to grow some cajones. Way too soft inside.
Kaufusi looked great in garbage time. Nice potential there.
Nixon still playing like a freshman.
KC a little sloppy with the ball, another outstanding overall game.
Amazing game for Chase. I also thought of the Jay Santos crazy wish when he neared Jimmer's record. (snort)

Didn't Jay reveal he was trolling? Maybe that was a bit of a but I thought I remember that outcome.

I think he claimed he was trolling, but nobody believed it.

Ah. Quite possible. He's a hit and run poster these days so hard to tell.

Jay is going to get ribbed about that either way for a while. But thanks for the observation, Mark.

Next game at 5:00 EST against Purdue.

I haven't watched Purdue. Anybody know what to expect? Who defeated Purdue in the first round?

Upon rejecting the Beatles, Dick Rowe told Brian Epstein of the January 1, 1962 audition for Decca, which signed Brian Poole and the Tremeloes instead.

Of course, but some here, not I, seem to watch every game around. Rather simply browsing, I thought somebody could point out from personal observation. You are old before your time, dudette.

On another note, Purdue has an inside out game with a biggish seven footer, AJ Hammond. Given our interior weakness at defense, Purdue pose quite a challenge.

Of course, with the slow response, I looked it up. But I wonder if stats are deceiving. Hammond is booked as a 7 foot center, 261 pounds and scored 12 points in the last game. Are the stats reflective of his abilities? Is he a force who rampage through our soft interior?

Purdue is predicted to finish 11th in the Big Ten of fourteen. Not too lofty.

Hammonds is predicted to finish as a second team all Big Ten conference player.
