I was glad they got to the tournament and they did so after a midseason that had them well ouside the top 68. I was also pleased to see how poised and eager to play Bartley was. For a freshman who lost any semblance of playing time in the regular season he played great under the circumstances.

Dave has to address 3-pt shooting and who the hell is going to play in the post next year but I'd called another NCAA tournament bid a success.

He has two or three coming in who should be able to help out. He has the Wake Forest transfer, Jeff's son and one other, whose name escapes me. I didn't like the collapse and would have preferred a close loss so the Committee didn't look bad for picking us. KC's loss was too much.

I knew the BYU run would end when Carlino hit that awful "heat check" three. I could see CBers chest bumping that don't understand out of control players making a bad shot. After that he decided he was Jimmer Carlino and took 3-4 just brutal shots in the next 5 possessions. But, hey he hit that one 3! Basically the same thing that happened here in Eugene, Carlino got lucky then took over while Haws watched most likely thinking to himself "WTF are you doing? I'm killing them"
