Your joke was spot on re: SU's St Mary's post. I'm still laughing and lamenting that I didn't think of it first."Either evolution or intelligent design can account for the athlete, but neither can account for the sports fan." - Robert Brault

Depositions and such...Originally posted by smokymountainrain View PostSpeaking of SU, he's been awfully quiet today. The bleacherdome thing makes no sense. BYU has very few bleachers left not to mention some of the most historic arenas in the country have bleachers like Cameron Indoor, Old Pauley Pavilion and Rupp Arena. I want to hear him talk smack on thr size of Cameron Indoor.Originally posted by kccougar View PostSomeone let LA Ute know. He's still running gym smack today.
The size of gym smack is also lame when you can't win there. Not to mention when Utah joined the Pac they brought with them the largest basketball arena in the conference at 15,000. We all know how big of a dump the Hunty is.
Stanford's 7200 seat arena would fit right in.
Then you have a team like UCLA last year decent sized arena and they averaged 6000 fans. Or hoe about Utah doesn't make the top 100 list for attendance and number 100 is Wyoming who averaged 5200 fans.
WCC average per game last year was 4700, Pac 12 was only 6900. 4700 is probably capacity. The Pac12 didnt even sell out the leagues smallest arena based on average attendance.
BYU would lead the PAC12 in attendance by over 2000 fans per game. (Don't make the biggest arena argument because you will lose that one as well, if the schools were at capacity every game that argument holds some validity but they aren't).
Stanford, OSU, Oregon, Washington, WSU, Utah, ASU, UCLA Cal and USC all averaged under 9000 fans per game. With WSU, Stanford, OSU and USC under 5000.
Colorado and Arizona average 10k and 14k respectively.

I only saw one WSU game on TV this year. There were 15 people at the game in Pullman. Pathetic.Originally posted by cougjunkie View Post

The "bleacherdome" thing is funny. And stupid. The MC has more chair seats than the Dumpsman.Originally posted by cougjunkie View PostThe bleacherdome thing makes no sense. How any fan that attends games in the Dumpsman can seriously make arena smack is beyond me.Last edited by Jeff Lebowski; 03-19-2014, 03:44 PM."There is no creature more arrogant than a self-righteous libertarian on the web, am I right? Those folks are just intolerable."

Look at how BYU fans treat Jay Drew. I think that's more of what you'd see if TJ was our beat reporter. They are mostly crappy to Jay Drew. I'd be embarrassed if our beat guy was writing the stuff KC posted while the game was going. You don't act disrespectful to the other team like that.Originally posted by mpfunk View PostIf Tony Jones was the BYU beat writer and homer for BYU, you guys would love him idiot statements and all. Not that I want to get into this whole size of gym smack debate, because it is stupid. However, I know how important it is to you to be accurate. In 2013, Utah made the top 100 in attendance at 50th in the country.Originally posted by cougjunkie View PostThe bleacherdome thing makes no sense.
