Either Utah was overpowered by that California speed, or the Utes didn't want to be there. Did the coach man up and admit they were outplayed by a better team, or make proud pansy-ass excuses?

Kinneberg and the team would say that they got beat by the better team in every phase of the game. The kid who started the game of Utah was quoted in the Orange County Register as saying that he gives all the credit in the world to the Titans.

I listened to some of the post game on the streaming feed and I heard Dave Serrano, the CSF coach talking about how it had to have been tough for the Utes to find pitchers because of the games they had played earlier that day against Gonzaga and the day before against Georgia Southern. He mentioned that having to play 3 games in 24 hours allows no rest for the pitching arms which was a huge advantage for his team.

CSF is one of the perennial baseball powerhouse teams, so the result really wasn't a surprise.
