Sharp has shown his ability to put team first as well this year. He's out of position offensively and defensively but uses effort to fill a role decimated by injury.

Good to see Carlino's confident stroke back.
Zylstra's hot streak at the end of the first half kept us in it. He was huge. Interesting that two of our most maligned players came through to pull this one out.

Still it was dangerously close and I think that a loss there would likely have foreclosed our slim opportunity for an at large.

      Very close.

So far, this season has been Rose's best coaching job ever. He unexpectedly lost 3 of his best 7 in the off season and lost every 4 on his roster. Despite that, we have played a top 50 schedule and have an rpi in the 30s. Add to the difficulties the confidence loss from Carlino and this has been amazing work by Rose and his staff. We are starting 2-3 former walk-ons every game and still finding ways to win.

        Thanks Utah!

Sorry, but this is wrong. Look at his dunks...most are one handed and he barely gets up High enough. When he can do a two hand jam, it's not in traffic.

As they said on the broadcast, great coaching decision to put Sharp on #45 for Usf.

Just watch Davies play. He does not have ups. He has long arms and when he has the luxury of no defenders, he can throw down by jumping from two feet.

Props to BZ for the threes in the first half that kept us within striking distance. He finally showed up in a game where we needed him. However the rest of your description of him is hilarious.

I'm with Green Monstah. Davies dunks look weird. They all seem to just barely clear the rim.

He plays 2-4 for us on a regular basis and has played the 1. He was a volume shooter in HS but now limits his attempts and focuses on whatever assignment Rose gives him. Most importantly, people want to know why he gets more minutes than Cusick, Delgado and Winder and the answer is simple ... he has similar skills but is substantially taller.

Z isn't a special player but he is a serviceable role player who can fill a number of roles. Rose utilizes that versatility and has done a good job of developing the former walk-on.

Does anyone really know what Winder and Delgado can do yet?

I think we have a good idea.

Winder is streaky from the perimeter, finishes well around the rim, guards well on the ball, pushes the ball well off the bounce but not with the pass, and rebounds well as a guard. He is limited with his left.

Delgado is a nice on the ball defender who sometimes gets greedy and gets into trouble defensively. He has limited vision with the ball in his hands but is quite quick and has a decent, though not exceptional stroke.

Yes, I, and Utah State, remember him playing the 1.

Yep, 5 turnovers, 2 points in 31 minutes. One of very few head scratching decisions Rose has made here.
