    At a local bar...

I don't follow basketball. It just isn't my thing. However, I do know KU is pretty good and borders on being the Notre Dame of basketball. If that's wrong, I blame my basketball naivete. Anyway, so I head to my local Lee's Summit bar for a birthday beer. I sit down next to a talk black dude talking MU smack. We strike up a conversation. Turns out he is Jeff Graves, a former KU power forward from Lee's Summit. He was very affable and struck me as a great guy. I have no idea if he is any good (though I assume he's pretty darn good) or if he even played, he was fun to talk to.

Anyway, I'm sure no one cares about who I've happened to sit by at a small bar in fly-over country, but in 3 weeks I've sat by and talked with a former Hawaii linebacker and a KU basketball player. I think that's pretty cool.

Don't worry about people stealing your ideas. If your ideas are any good, you'll have to ram them down people's throats.
