I am pretty sure BYU will lose this game because we will get nothing offensively from the Zylchstra, Carlino will wait until there is 6 minutes left in the game to finally score 10 or so points and our guards will probably still suck defensively.

This will be the third top 25 team to come to the Big Mac this season. BYU's home schedule is easily the best home schedule in the state this season.

Off topic but I'm not a fan of the Brockness Monster taking Jimmer's pre-game mojo with the "Cougar fans, it's time....lights" gig. Why not Davies or Don Flamenco?

I like the "sabotage" intro but I don't get that awkward edit with Brandon Davies screaming (instead of AdRock)....especially since it isnt even Brandon Davies screaming.

BYU has given away 2 iPads this season so far as a result of half-court shots. I predict that not only will there be no more half-court shots made by fans, the fans won't even make another 3 point shot.

Finally, giving away free cake for life sounds gross.

worse. it is a gift basket from the health care provider, so my guess is that it contains a syringe, some foot powder, and samples of valtrex.

Now they are doing ping pong ball toss into a portable toilet for the handicapped or immobile. I'm waiting for them to slap dark glasses and a silver cup on a couple of students and have them fumble their way across a finish line somewhere.

I can live with getting nothing from Zylstra. He really isn't that good and too much is being expected/asked of him. I think he is worth a scholarship and is a solid reserve but he is just not capable enough to expect more than that.

Carlino has me concerned. I hope, but I worry, there is something really going on off the court and often with kids at BYU who are not LDS/real comfortable with being at BYU there is not a happy ending.

To be a good team BYU needs 3 scorers. The only real capable scorers after Brandon and Noah, who have played consistently well, are Chuck and Carlino. Chuck has always been inconsistent but Carlino has struggled mightily during a period Chuck disapeared on offense. Sometime this trend should change and Matty C should have me back talking about the new PGU!

Keep in mind, this could very well be just 1 of potentially 3 match-ups this season. For instance, if the Zags are a 2-seed & BYU is a 3-seed or vice versa, we'll most likely face one another in WCC Semi's.

I'll provide thoughts/analysis as we approach tip-off...

FYI: two of our starters, PG - Pangos and SF - Edi, are out of practice today with nasty respiratory infections. I'm sure they'll be OK by Thurs.

I know that sounds like some sort of excuse, just reporting updates.
