Quite the dirty trick by LMU's facility maintenance team.

Not to get off-topic here, but I read some news yesterday that The Mtn. might be shutting down as they are laying off employees in a couple months. Craig Thompson's moves really destructing themselves. This is such a sad thing.

What the hell kind of introduction is that? You realize BYU is favored by 3-4 points, right?

OK, everyone. We have to talk about the elephant in the room.

Will the shooting slump end tonight? You think the team is getting desperate enough to apply the ... uh.... traditional remedy?

I say the shooting slump ends. It's called regression toward the mean.

St Mary's has one of the best PG's, if not the best overall PG in College Hoops right now in Dellavadenovanananava. He doesn't look it, but he sure plays like it. Also, their 2-guard, Holt, is tremendously athletic, strong, can hit 3's, is an elite defender.

I just don't see Carlino or Zylstra or even Abouo defending the Gael guards enough to overcome their 'spread' offense.

Can Carlino bust out of his recent funk and hit some open shots this game? Can he hang with Mouthpiece in the backcourt to limit his scrappy(dirty?), yet do-it-all play?

Can Davies keep Jones off the glass for once?

Hopefully, Charles can put together a solid all-around game as he did in the beginning of the season, b/c BYU has the size/strength/athletic advantage at the "3" over St Mary's Jorden Page or Clint Steindl.

It will be BYU's Bigs vs SMC's Guards.

I'm uncertain whether BYU can contain the Gaels well enough or consistent enough to win. I think you can score on them, out-rebound them, maybe even out-shoot them, but can you STOP them? I have my doubts even at home.

BYU didn't play that poorly last game in Moraga, it was more the fact St Mary's racked up nearly 100 pts and scored on nearly 75% of their possessions.

Hopefully, the Cougs play inspired basketball tonight. Outside of the Hartsock/Davies, Abouo needs to play smart basketball, Carlino needs to find the bottom of the net, and Zylstra will have to have one of his patented, "where did that come from" moments for a BYU victory.

It can happen. I thought the atmosphere vs LMU last week at MC was pretty subpar given what you're student section is capable of -- I expect a better effort tonight by the players and the fans.

The good news is SMC has been suspect on the road, so now is the time to nip them in the bud.

A BYU win is good/exciting for the entire Conference. I, for one, will be rooting for BYU tonight, which may be the last time until next season, so make good on tonight's opportunity.
Thanks so much for rooting for BYU! We are soooo excited to have the respect of a mighty Gonzaga fan! Please continue to reassure us regarding the quality of the team we cheer for. I don't know how we ever got along here before you showed up. Thanks!

Sammy linebaugh quit when BYU/Utah left as she could see the writing on the wall. She's now working in the SEC so other than constant travel she was happy to leave that dysfunctional station.

Davies goes for 20 and 12. Hartsock his usually 17 and 7.

The difference tonight however is Matt "Don Corleone" Carlino gets back on track hitting at least 4 three pointers and dropping 20+ points.

This game is a track meet with BYU winning 92-85.

Oh and despite my usual game partner ditching me and leaving me high and dry on Friday evening with no tickets. I will still be there!
