  • The official Dave Rice is a better coach than Dave Rose thread

I've been wondering if Dave Rice wasn't the real brains of the operation at BYU. There are precedents: Hawkins/Peterson, Monson/Few. it's looking like it may hve been so.
When a true genius appears, you can know him by this sign: that all the dunces are in a confederacy against him.

Chris Hill could have hired a better coach than Dave Rose.
    I'm like LeBron James.

This is SU's best trolling opprutunity of the year, considering you guys lost by 12 at home.

This thread has as much or more validity than junkie's about K.

Also, Utah has been recruiting better than BYU, and getting better. I think the tables turn quicker than you think they will.

Really, only poeople interested in hearing TopUte talk at them should care what he thinks. He only deals in conclusory assertions and announces them like he's the be all and end all, that Chris Hill and K must satisfy him first, or else, and he's not happy. It's amazing how this guy shows up on sports message boards like he's gods gift and we should all hear his gospel about Ute sports. I don't care what TopUte thinks and no one else should.

It spoke volumes when TopUte said he was just "speculating" that the Allreds were going to sue Utah under the ADA and that's why Majerus quit. it's like he didn't realize speculation is making stuff up. That's all he does, scream and yell like a lunatic on the street corner about crazy stuff in his head.

            For you, TopUte: :finger3:

I've been wondering if when the UofUtah talked to Dave Rice that he told them he wasn't at all interested in that train wreck. As SU is suggesting Rice is very smart. No doubt he told the UofUtah to move along.
                  Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

All I know is that the two Bennetts and Rice all have ranked teams this year and Utah ended up with Crisco.

Would only make sense if he was certain Kruger was moving on from UNLV. If Randy Bennett was willing to let Chris Hill make his pitch, Rice isn't above doing likewise.

That said, I'm not sure how heavy Rice was on Utah's radar.

Which makes Rice's rejection of the UofUtah even more hurtful, but still understandable.

In two weeks we will see a further proof of this precedent when Bill Bellichik is again unable to win a Super Bowl without Romeo Crennel and Charlie Weiss.

Go Pats, but the Gents are going to kill them.

Oh, and Dave Rice is doing a great job. I am enjoying the resurgence of UNLV basketball.
