I wish I were! Say hello to Blacksburg for me. I'd give you the breakdown of places to eat in Blacksburg, but there aren't any good ones.

If I didn't have to work the day after I would consider it. Then again, me going would probably jinx them. Every time I've been to see a BYU team play on the east coast they have had horrible, frustrating games.

Knock it off. This board has enough problems without a dose of middle-age lechery.

I have to work the next day, too. It's a 4-hour drive each way for me. I think you should go!

I think the 704 will be represented at the game. I was talking to a friend in the ward this weekend who is from Blacksburg and he suggested Mike's Grill and the Hokie House, but also said that most places close down during games.

Anyone from the DC crew headed out there?
I have nothing else to say at this time.

it's about six for me, which means I wouldn't get back until 3 or 4 in the morning (later if I chose to enjoy yours and Parrothead's fine company) only to have to get up at 7.30

20 years ago, we wouldn't have thought twice about this.

Look everyone, if pellegrino is a jinx and doesn't want to show up, then great. Quit pushing on this. Let's keep his bad BYU voodoo/mojo/karma/twinkle-dee-dinkle/whatever as far away from the team as possible.

                pellegrino, stay home!
                Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

My brother-in-law and I are going to get tickets shortly. Shall I get a couple for you, too?

Finally someone sees this for what it is. I'm taking one for the team!

I am still debating. I am in the same predicament of having to take off early game day and then going to work the next day with little to no sleep or taking that day off.

But I want to go. I may drag my dad and brother along.

I would be really surprised if anything shuts down during the basketball games (as opposed to football games). But then again, when I was there the basketball team was horrific.

When are you looking to buy? I'll need to check with my partner in crime for the trip, as he's also trying to see if more of a crowd will be joining us. I have been looking at RazorGator and the prices have been dropping slightly, but I can't tell how good the tix are and I have no clue if one section is more visitor-oriented than another.

I was wondering if that was more the case in football season, too, but I didn't want to get petty. Plus, being in the ACC now probably has more of a tendency to draw everyone's attention when certain teams come to town.

I've never been to Blacksburg and I'm excited to be an obnoxious visiting fan against a team of turkeys.

Did any of you DC-ers man up and make plans to attend the game next week? The CLT train is heading up in the afternoon and still working on a viable tale to explain to the rest of our group how we know Tim without saying, "Ummmm, internet chat boards."
