Well, just to get the conversation started...
Gonzaga has 13 straight NCAA Tourney Appearances(4th longest active streak), 11 consecutive Conference Championships(2nd longest active streak), & 14 20+ win seasons in a row.
In addition, during the last 11 seasons(or since 2000), the Zags have won 16 NCAA Tournament games, advanced to 5 Sweet 16's, 1 Elite 8, have featured 2 1st-Team All-Americans, 6 players drafted in the NBA, 3 NBA 1st-Round picks, & have beaten 4 teams ranked in the AP/Coaches Top-5. Not to mention, we've been a Top-4 seed in the NCAA Tourney on 3 separate occasions.
Check my facts and refute BYU's #'s to the ones above.
I've noticed people are quick to dismiss or undermine Gonzaga on this board and thought it may be time for a reality check.
Yes, BYU beat an 11th seeded Gonzaga & rebuilding year for us in the 2nd Round last season shorly after we demolished a 6th seeded Big East team, but it was one game. I dare you to make 12 3's vs us again this season. We'll see...Last edited by higherroad; 11-03-2011, 09:48 PM.Comment

Gonzaga, but not by a lot only do due to the fact (IMO) that they are actually on ESPN more often than BYU who was stuck with The Mtn. and CBS Sports Network. BYU has a better chance of exposure this year due to the fact they'll be on ESPN Networks 8 times at least, if not more. I don't think there are many here that would refute that Gonzaga has a better basketball program. There is a ton of is confidence here that BYU will compete for the conference championship from day 1.
