Would have been fun to see what Sacre could have done against a BYU team that wasn't missing Brandon Davies and Chris Collinsworth. Sacre was going up against a stretch 4 and a walk-on 6'5" guy in that BYU win.

Exactly everyone is talking about how BYU loses Jimmer and Jackson but they are forgetting that we get back our best post scorer and best defensive post player.

With Davies back it will open up Noah a lot more.

I am actually very curious to see BYUs starting lineup. I think it should be:

      Davies
      Noah
      Abouo
      Harrison
      Zylstra/Carlino

With Rogers and Collinsworth the first two off the bench. But I could see Harrison coming off the bench, Charles playing the 2 and Rogers starting.

Sacre averaged 13 ppg, 6 rpg, 2 blocks per game while shooting 82% from the FT line as a post.

He's currently projected as a late 1st-Round, early 2nd-Round pick next season at 7'-foot, 265lbs. He has had a terrific off-season as well.

Also, he had 17 pts, 7 rebs, 4 blks vs BYU last season in just 27 mins of playing time.

Think or give a little credit where credit is due before you post. Sheesh.
13 ppg, 6 rpg, and 2 bpg for a 7 foot junior in the WCC is not impressive in the slightest. He had those stats against BYU playing a team with no frontcourt size and no frontcourt depth. His line against BYU was not impressive in the slightest.

The only reason that Sacre is a late 1st-round, early 2nd-round pick is his size. He will be out of the league by the time his rookie deal is up.

BYU's tallest guy that played in the game against the Zags. James Anderson 6-10, 240 lbs. He played 18 minutes. Since you probably haven't watched much BYU basketball, James Anderson is a really bad player. He was easily the worst player on BYU. James Anderson is so bad that he wouldn't even start for the Utes.

He is so bad that he is no longer on the team. He basically had his schollie pulled.

Maybe they should have kept him to be a Sacre stopper. It sure doesn't take much to stop to guy if James Anderson and a bunch of 6-5 and 6-8 guys can hold him in check. Hell, I'm wrong they shouldn't keep James Anderson. Just put Abouo on him again and watch the 6-5 guy stop him again. I'm sure BYU wil be fine with 17 points and 6 boards from Sacre.

James Anderson is so bad that even cougjunkie didn't dispute that he couldn't start for the Utes. That means he is even worse than I was claiming.

I think Rogers starts in Harrison's place. I forsee a 9 man rotation of starters: Carlino, Abwowowow, Rogers, Hartsock, Davies. Off the bench: Zylstra, Harrison, Sharp and Collinsworth. Nate Austin and Anson Winder will see spot duty if there are injuries/foul trouble. I think Nate Austin will actually get 5-10 mpg during the preseason as a 10th man but when conference rolls around and the rotation is tightened/Chris Collinsworth is back in shape I expect Nate will see non mop up time minutes only in emergency situations.

This will be a solid team. I am still not convinced they are NCAA worthy but they will be on the fringe. Next year they will be good and the two years after that they could be really, really good - especially if Chris Collinsworth rediscovers his explosiveness that seems to be missing post microsurgery. An experienced backcourt of Carlino, Harrison and Haws is going to be really good as juniors and seniors. If Austin develops it will be a team that is a threat to go deep in the NCAA. If Jabari Parker chooses BYU, it will be a threat to do more.
