Bringing the UF.N circle jerk to a premature conclusion.
Prepare to put mustard on those words, for you will soon be consuming them, along with this slice of humble pie that comes direct from the oven of shame set at gas mark “egg on your face”! -- Moss

You have the player of the year in Nevill. Borha was on the all defense team as was Nevill, Nevill was the defensive player of the year, Shaun Green was the 6th man of the year. Borha was a third team all conference player. Also Utah has 4 honorable mention players (Drca, Kepkay, Brown and Green) which is more than any other team.

I don't have a problem with Alford being COY. I think he did a great job. I was responding to the argument that Boylen had unearthed latent talent, which I don't think is true. You agree with me there.

I don't take back anything I said though. I like Green but, really, who do you want on your team, a guy who can lock down 6th man of the year or a guy that can make an all conference team. Good for Green, but the fact that he is not a starter at this point in his career speaks volumes.

As far as having Borha on the 3rd team and all defense, I think that is awesome because he worked his way there. My argument was there was little talent beyond Nevill. I'm right about this. Borha is not a third teamer because of his overwhelming talent, he is there because he maximized what he had and became a great defender through effort and commitment. Boylen gets massive credit for this. Same with the group of honorable mentions, a big group of mediocre at best talents who worked their way into that position. I think this actually confirms exactly what I said.

But again, big props to Alford as well. He did a bang up job this year and deserves the award.

I agree with all of this. After the BYU game Saturday they were interviewing JT, and he said that he thought Shaun Green was one of the best defenders in the conference and really felt like from last year to this year his game had made that jump to the next level. Then again that is coming from a player with a very similar skill set to Green.
