  • Basketball Camp? $0. Meeting Jimmer and Jackson? $195

Jimmer and Jackson are pretty smart guys. They have somehow convinced people to attend their camp. What goes into the camp?

Friday: All 400 kids will have a clinic for 1.5 hours, at the same time. Then, they can stick around and get autographs with both guys.

Saturday: Depending on your age, you will get 3 hours of a camp clinic, with up to 180 kids in your group.

What does this bad boy camp of 4.5 total hours cost, most of which is with a huge amount of kids? $195. Egads. But, they are selling spots, so it must be worth it to people, but that is quite a premium on very little instruction and mainly just meeting Jimmer and Jackson. Good for them.

Holy crap. That makes those Jr Jazz camps I attended at age 14 a real bargain. They were ~4 days long, 3-4 hours, and were led by ACTUAL NBA players Thurl Bailey and Mike Brown, with a few other surprise guests along the way (John Stockton didn't come, he always wanted too much money to attend).

Total cost? $75. Times sure change.

That would be a sweet basketball camp.

The kids would run through a set of 2 drills.

First: shooting 3s from 21 feet.

Second drill: shooting 3s from 45 feet.
      Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

And after running thru those 2 sets of drills, camp would be over and they would get in line to get autographs of both Jimmer and Jackson. I seriously am pretty amazed that a normally tightwad Momron community is gobbling up these camp spots. For that amount of time, $75-100 seems fair. $195 is robbery, but honest robbery because you told them up front that they were going to be robbed.

I hear you. I have heard horror stories of cheapskate Mormons that spend time on the phone arguing with their cable provider over an $8 charge.

Sounds like a bargain to be trained by the POY

8 x 3 is $24. Every single month. For their frakkin' data line to continue to do what it does every single minute of every single day to simply connnect to the cable card that I rent from them. NUTTY!

Think of it this way: By saving that $24 every month for an entire year, I would be able to send 1.5 of my kids to that couple of hours kinda basketball camp. BARGAIN!

Is that what we're calling Utah Valley Latter Day Saints now? Sounds like an 80's hair band.
