  • Introducing Jan Krystkowiak

Mother of 5 children 3-12. She owns a marketing and advertising firm, has three dogs, and dabbles in photography. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Krystkowiak attended school on a basketball scholarship. She enjoys running and yoga and volunteers with many local and national charities. Just finished the "Twilight" series.

Is auctioning off the following prize package for charity next Saturday:

    Premiere Soccer Up Close
You’ve seen them on TV on the Fox Soccer Channel… Now be in the studio as you join the FOX Soccer Match Day crew and soccer analyst Warren Barton (former top international player and now lead analyst with FOX studios for American and European soccer) as his crew covers a premiere international soccer match. A 4 person tour of the Los Angeles FOX Sports studio, meet the analysts and watch an international game in studio, then watch as the analysts break down the game for the television broadcast. Perfect for all soccer enthusiasts!
Donated by: Larry and Jan Krystkowiak and Warren Barton
With Larry spouting off about how he wants to be in SLC and raise his family and never be away from them again, I anticipate we will see more of Janine in the future.

She ought to go over well with Utahns. For many it will be a case of "You had me at the 5 kids."

Funny, as that's the very thing for which she'd be made fun of by Utah fans if she were the spouse of a BYU coach.
Prepare to put mustard on those words, for you will soon be consuming them, along with this slice of humble pie that comes direct from the oven of shame set at gas mark “egg on your face”! -- Moss

As revised, your statement is 100% right.

Why would anyone make fun of someone associate with BYU over a large family?

I have 5 kids too. Does that make me popular in Utah?

Now that you mention it, when I have heard Utah fans make fun of BYU coaches over religious/cultural stuff I don't recall hearing jokes about family size. I don't even know if the BYU coaches have large families.

I personally think it is impressive and admirable that the K's have 5 kids. I'm guessing they are Catholic.

In any case, I think there probably is a segment of Utah fans that would make fun of just about anything they can find related to BYU sports.

I don't think the number is important, what matters is if any of them can play ball.

It will start you out ahead of the game when you become the U's next president, but you'll lose ground quickly thereafter.

You could never be unpopular anywhere.

                        Populating, yes. Popular? Always.

Her posture aside, she seems like she has a lot going for her.

I guess Shawn Kemp is a big hit in Utah, then (my nickname around here, where people have 1-2 kids tops, is "Shawn").

Since I messed up this thread by mentioning her 5 children, I'll add that she's got a very impressive record/history. Krysko married well. Jan is going to be visible whether he wants her to or not.

In addition to all her other accomplishments, she is a dog lover. Clearly a cut above the rest right away.
