I was never a believer in priceline.com before, but at my brothers urging we used that for the VEGAS BOWL this year and got Planet Hollywood for either $50 or $55 a night. I would try that again on my next trip.

I use Priceline all the time. Bids of only $50 have landed me at the Hyatt Place in El Paso, the Hilton Suites in Atlanta, the Residence Inn in Boston and San Antonio, and the Sheraton in Hartford.

Lajolla is a funny name for a nice place, ya know?

Does Priceline list that hotel as a 3.5 star or a 4 star?

3.5 stars. And parking is $20/day, but I know the area well enough to know where the street parking is, so long as one don't mind walking 3-4 blocks, which I don't. This is the marriott tower only a couple of blocks from the temple, and the area is primarily condos, condos, condos galore.

My latest Priceline steal: 6 nights at the O'Hare Hyatt Regency for $65/night. Looks like the standard rate is $179.

that is basically 45 mins to an hour blue line ride each way from airport to city center. dont forget to factor that in if you are planning on spending any time in the loop, at wrigley, etc.

Thanks for the tip. At one point I'll be at a job only 11 miles from Gary, IN, so I'll have to swing by MJ's boyhood home and see if it's been turned into a shrine. I also have a commercial property only three blocks from the University of Chicago. I'll be sure to scope out the babes for our all-American friend and wow the 1Ls with my relation to Marcus Neff. That cheap bastard.

To Wrigley is almost 2 hours from the airport by subway. You have to go quite a ways on the blue line to get to the red line. Easier and a lot faster to take a bus to a red line stop.
