Actually, as of now they have 7:Pitt, Syracuse, ND, Marquette, UConn, West Virginia, Cincinnatti. They are guaranteed 2 wins and 2 losses in this round due to head to heads, plus WVU just lost. So that will be 9 wins 7 losses, with only 4 teams (Pitt, ND and presumably UConn and Syracuse) to get 7 more wins. I'm liking my chances.

Sooner, it's the tourney and anything can happen

Bob Huggins always comes across so warm and friendly. I imagine he is a cuddler.

As of now they have 5.Originally posted by Donuthole View PostI'm feeling pretty good about betting the under on Big East wins (O/U was 15.5).
I'd say you have a very good chance to profit from the Big East's incompetence.

You're right. The BE should have received 17 tourney invites.Originally posted by SeattleUte View Post
Nevetheless, I predict the Big East will have more schools remaining after Sunday than any other conference even though some of them are playing each other this weekend.

The Saturday morning game is always a stand alone game. Although it is usually Duke.Originally posted by Donuthole View PostWhy is there only one game going right now? We have 8 games to get through today, yet the first two games get exclusive time slots. Not surprisingly, those games both include SEC teams. It's almost as if CBS has an unrelated yet not-entirely-unrelated TV deal with the SEC.

Seems like it wouldn't be too much to ask to start every game an hour after the previous. Maybe even 45 minutes. But I like that they're staggering the start times.Originally posted by Donuthole View PostWhy is there only one game going right now? You conveniently omitted Louisville but no matter. I guess what you are saying is that the Big East has been overrated all season and that team rankings and tournament seedings incompetently failed to take into account all of the deficiencies you outlined above. I think we are all on the same page.Originally posted by SeattleUte View PostIf you think they play better ball in the Colonial conference than the Big East you are in the Lunatic fringe. GU and Villanova are, like BYU, troubled teams who got to where they were in the post-season based on a body of work. Georgetown never recovered fro Chris Wright's injury; there is also something going on that no one (including apparently JTIII) knows about. St. John's suffered from an injury to its best player. Big East teams destroy one another in the regular season.

They had by far the worst resume of the at large teams. I can't wait to hear SU tell us how those are the most dangerous teams because they have nothing to lose. Also something about how the Big East is so tough its hard to have anything left for hte NCAA tournament, then follow that up with a comment about how good VCU actually is and how they are streaking right now. (Even though they lost 5 of 8 games coming in to the tourney).

You guys are going to look foolish when the Big East winds up sending, at best, one team to the Final Four.Originally posted by EuropeanFootballMale View PostNow that I think about it they should have sent 15 to the dance.
