I have been laughing about this comment for 5 minutes because my wife and son just got home and we're watching the game again. It's all I can picture now when he talks.

Good hell, that guy was just awful. Sounds like they stole a guy that does color for a 1A HS team up in the panhandle somewhere on a little AM radio station.

        My seats...

My TCU friends were good to me.

Yes, a lot of people showed up late. Most likely due to all the construction going on at the Amon G that messed up the parking...

Just got back home. I did TCU to my house in 4:09. It would have been under 4 hours but some lady ahead of me at McDonalds in Waxatachie decided to order $45 worth of food through the drive thru. Good heavens lady, get off your butt, walk into the place and place that size order in person.

            The Game:

My seats were not as good as Ted's. I was in section MN directly behind one of the baskets about 3 rows from the top. Thankfully that place is small so there really isn't a bad seat.

Jimmer was crashed on all game long. He even fakes a drive and they crashed. This opened up a lot of room underneath and Davies/Hartsock seemed to have a lot of easy layups but they were sure slow getting the ball to the hoop which usually resulted in them getting blocked or fouled. The bigs need to learn to catch and shoot right away.

It's nice to see everyone contribute. Emery was on as was Rogers. Lots of open shots tonight due to TCU hounding Jimmer.

The zone we were playing in the second half was great. TCU had some open shots in H1 but those were minimized in H2 and it also slowed down their drives and easy dunks. Seemed like the switch in defense was when the game really went our way.

Davies is something else. The guy is awesome defensively. I'd like to see him develop a consistent 15-footer but for now I'll take everything he gives.

TCU lost big but they had the majority of the highlights. It was really a boring game for the most part except for the TCU dunks and a lot of made threes.

            Not the game:
The BYU fans chanting during the game was fun. This was pretty much a home game for us. Kudos to the DFWers for showing up.

During halftime one of the BYU personnel guys came out of the tunnel with a rolling suitcase. It looked like he was packed and ready to head home. I thought this was pretty funny and an indication of what we all knew...the game was pretty much over by then.

The TCU student body at one point used the chant "nuts and bolts, nuts and bolts, we got screwed!" I haven't heard that one since high school. Way to bring it student body!

We went to the after-game pep rally and got to listen to Dave Rose, K. Collinsworth and L. Magnusson. It was fun to see them. Some other guy from the athletic deparatment spoke and mentioned how great and cordial TCU was to work all during the conference expansion and our independence and also in setting up the game next October. Apparently TCU really wanted us to stay in the conference (no duh!) but they were supportive of us as well.

During the pep rally the MC talked about how great the team played that night. I heard this grumbling behind me that sounded like "no they didn't!" I turned around saw some 50 year old fat guy in an old time BYU sweatshirt. I swear, BYU goes on the road and beats a team by 20 points with a lot of players contributing and some people still aren't happy

BYU will almost surely get their own license plate design in Texas. I need some ideas on what to put on mine. It looks like I might be limited to 5 characters.

As soon as the VA plates get approved I am applying for JMMRD if it's 5 characters. If I get 6 characters then JIMMER it shall be. If it's 7 then WWJMMRD.

Here's a bit my Little EJ's artwork. He drew this around Corsicana on the way to the game.

I actually just thought of my plate but I'm not sharing so I can be sure to get it.
