After starting 1-6, Emery finishes 5-11. Davies was great once again and more importantly he is starting to pass out of the post (which I have been calling for all season) he finishes with 6 assists because of that. If he can continue to develop and can ever demand a double team this team will only get better.

I think that is one of the most true statements made this year. If BYU gets hot on offense where Emery his hitting his shots and at least one other player shows up in spurts we are very, very dangerous. Jimmer requires so much attention that if you can't double from Davies or a perimeter player other than Jax you are done.

I've always wanted to do what they guy in the Jeep commercial did--drive up one of those big snow piles in a parking lot.

My buddy in college tried to do that in the parking lot where Blockbuster, the Movies 8 and the 50s diner used to be in Provo on University Parkway. He was actually crashing through the snow when a huge chunk of the snow that was hard as a rock smashed his bumper and grill. Pretty funny.

I rewatched this game and was intrigued by how open Rogers got in the first half without any screens or plays run for him.

I also watched Abuou and he is really rushing that three pointer. His shot is getting worse with each game because he is scared to reach for the peach.

The shot he drained from the left (tv) side he was actually quite patient on. You're right though, in general he is rushing it. Dude can sky so I wish he would get it out of his head that someone is going to block a 3 pt shot from 22 feet away.

Rogers or Abuou? I think we have two guards you can't leave right now in Jimmer and Jax. People have learned they can't sag too far off Hartsock on the perimeter and they can't sag off Davies to about 10 feet. None of our reserves receive defensive attention at this point but the space all of them are getting because of Jimmer is enormous. If we had Haws this year he would be killing it. Pretty much any 3 man who can shoot the 3 ball and defend a little would be putting up 12 ppg. because of what Jimmer is doing to opposing defenses.
