Ute fans cheering for Jimmer

Hey?!?!?! I've always praised Miller and Van Horn, especially Miller. I don't believe I've every said anything positive or negative about Bogut.

I always loved Miller's game. A lot. He is my kind of player. Van Horn too. Bogut not so much.

I hated Bogut. I did like Mark Jackson quite a bit. In fact if I had to pick a favorite basketball Ute (and this is like picking which tooth I want extracted) it'd be him. Trace Caton would be up there, only because I got to know his family on my mission.

Never cared much for Miller or KVH. Though I recognize how good they were. True story, me and my roommates were all getting ready at halftime of that NC game to go to SLC to try and score with some Ute coeds. I assure you that we were just as disappointed as many of you Utes that you lost, at least for about 15 minutes.

I always hated Ainge - he was the BYU player Utah fans loved to hate. But even then I gave the guy credit for being the best all-around player ever at BYU. He was a force of nature too, just like Jimmer seems to be. But Jimmer served a mission, which actually makes his otherworldly play even more amazing. He didn't seem to have any trouble getting his legs back. Dangit.

Jimmer is undeniably good. It's easy to respect how the guy is playing... and I'm happy for BYU too. I'm sure it's killing the Mountain West guys and Hair Thompson... thinking about how bad they dicked themselves.

Jimmer is a silly name though... it's like Jim... just all gayed up.

Whoops. I fear my failure to follow BYU sports closely is showing. Did Bro. Jimmer not go? If not, he's still great. Ainge was the guy you feared as an opponent, who you didn't want to see get the ball when the game was on the line. Jimmer is probably like that, except I am not sure Jimmer has been in close, high-stakes games like the Notre Dame sweet 16 game back in 1981. (I know that many of you were not around then, but a few of us remember that.)

Unlike PAC and Surfah, I don't fall for your "I don't know much about the cougs; I'm a Utah fan" schtick. As soon as others start seeing through your nice-guy schtick, maybe they'll figure it out too.
