    Jimmer wasn't a ball in 2nd half

Jimmer forced things in the first half. Second half he was 2 of 4. A true hog would have chucked up at least 10 shots in the second half.

I agree. I don't think Jimmer is a ball hog. His shooting percentages deny that. I also agree that he didn't shoot as many or as poorly in the second half. HIs numbers weren't pretty from the first half though.

To me it seemed he was getting frustrated in the first half that his defenders were being allowed to put their hands on him and use their forearms to stop his drives, but BYU defenders weren't being given the same license on the other end. But in the 1st half Jimmer tried to overcome that by making tough shots, instead of the preferred method that he employed in the 2nd half when he drove into those defenders and forced the refs to put him on the line more.

For the first time I thought "this kid might be good." I think he may start the next two years.

He was really frustrated. He had a running commentary with the refs throughout the first half about being grabbed. From where I was sitting he had a legit complaint. TCU was doing a lot of grabbing, especially on the high screen.

I don't claim to be an expert, all I'm saying is that in the games that I've watched I've been frustrated at the number of offensive rebounds we give up and the ease with which cutters and post men get in the paint.

He's a real tweener for Rose's system. I think Rose is uncomfortable playing him at the 3 for his ability to defend on perimeter and he's just a little too much of a wuss to play the 4. Rose is brilliant for tweaking his system to fit his players though. I'm curious to see what role exactly Rogers does fill. With the tanking of Charles, it would be nice if Rogers could step up.

He is grad school student's Lee Cummard (better than a poor man's version). Next years offense will likely be very different than this years with the loss of Jimmer and Jax. I see Rogers as a starter averaging 12+ game.

I think he is likely to be a 3 next year. I think his defense can improve quite a bit. I think he has the potential to be better offensively than Abouo can be defensively. I also think Rogers has some bouncy athleticism that could allow him to be a decent rebounder on the perimter. He will get beat off the bounce but I think he will defend the perimeter, next year, better than we might think.

The only issue I thought was I don't want anyone to get in the way of the next great perimeter triumvirate of Matt Carline, Demarcus Harrison and Tyler Haws from starting 3 years together. If Rogers ends up better than I thought, he might do that. I am not so sure if that is a good thing.

KC might get in the way of that.

I think Napper is assuming that KC goes mission then redshirts so as to not have the same injury problems that his brother faced this year...

Weird to think that KC might not be back on the floor until 2014.

KC would be back from his mission when they all would be experienced juniors. I see KC with a future redshirt. The roster that year will be:

                            Carlino
                            Harrison
                            Haws
                            Allen comma RoscoePeecoaletrain!
                            Collinsworth

Off the bench with Nick Emery, Anson Winder, Ian Austin and the superstar half Tongan who everyone thinks will never come to the BYU. In fact as I objectively evaluate where Dave Rose is taking this program I am wondering if BYU will even have a slot for KC.

To be honest it would not surprise me if BYU shifts KC to the 4 to play with that crowd. Especially if KC grows an inch or two on his mission like his bro. I always thought KC would be a 4 anyhow. With a 4 out 1 in motion, KC would make a fine 4 and I think he will have the strength to defend opposing 4's.

My goodness if he grew an inch or two, filled out, and maintained his skill set he would be a beast.

If he stayed exactly the same but smoothed out his jumper he would be a beast.
