This has been a crazy preseason. A team looks good, then loses at home to a double directional or gets blown out. The only team that looks to be pretty consistently good is Washington. They are loaded with talent.

Going into the opening weekend of conference play I would predict order of finish as

    1. Washington
    2. Arizona
    3. USC
    4. UCLA
    5. WSU
    6. Cal
    7. Stanford
    8. Oregon
    9. ASU
    10. Oregon State

I think USC is a team that seems to be putting it together and could be a dark horse to win the conference. IMO 4-9 could finish in any order and there isn't really any distinction between those teams. Oregon State may become the second team to go 0-18 in conference, OSU of 2007-08 being the other team.

Without a major turn around I think Sendek and the First BIL are both gone at the end of the year.

All of these teams have talent but few of these teams have experience or discipline. Washington is the only team with experience and their consistency is the evidence of it. Selfishly, I hope Arizona and UCLA get going and grow into the quality teams I think they can become. Arizona's guards might suck too bad and UCLA might be too young but there is definitely a possibility that the two teams my Cougars played can be quality.

No Pac 10 team ranked for the third straight week. When was the last time that happened?
